Normal Sight
The miracle of sight occurs when the eyes and brain work together to transform light into sight. Light from the objects we look at passes through the transparent cornea, which focuses it through the pupil to the lens. The lens is made of a transparent gel enclosed by a capsule. The lens fine-focuses the light onto the retina which lines the back of the eye. The retina changes the light into electrical impulses which are sent to the visual cortex of the brain where they are perceived as sight.
