Your initial consultation – reassuringly rigorous

You will see me personally – I do not delegate this completely to an optometrist (optician) as in so many clinics.

The examination is the most thorough your eyes will ever have. Measurements are made by the most sophisticated diagnostic instruments currently available, including the Ziemer Galilei cornea topographer and the iTrace wavefront analyser. There is plenty of time to ask questions and discuss your requirements with absolutely no pressure on you.

The Ziemer Galilei is a ‘Scheimpflug’ system that takes detailed photographs of the cornea, constructing a precise map of its shape. The iTrace aberrometer examines a fine ray of light reflected from the eye to identify the wavefront – minute imperfections of focusing as unique to every eye as a fingerprint.
